Museum Finders is a unique Chicago-based business that offers an alternative to the prospect of a cold, unsettling sale of newly inherited artworks or family heirlooms. Drawing on our in-depth knowledge and experience, we help you find an appropriate forever home for a valued painting, vintage chair or rare fossil. Museums, historical societies, science centers and other non-profit institutions rely on just such donations to fill out their collections, and we provide the expertise to choose the right one.
Kyle has developed extensive knowledge of the art and museum worlds and built a network of contacts across the country as a nationally known arts critic and journalist. He served as the fine arts critic for the Denver Post from 2000 through 2011 and has written for such publications as Artforum, ARTnews, Public Art Review and Sculpture. He is currently based in Chicago, where he has freelanced for the Chicago Sun-Times, Wall Street Journal and Selvedge magazine and served as a corresponding editor for Art in America magazine. He was a major contributor to the catalog that accompanied “Nick Cave: Sojourn,” a large-scale solo exhibition that was on view in 2013 at the Denver Art Museum, and lead essayist for a catalog that accompanied “Sarah McKenzie: Transitional,” a 2014 solo exhibition at the David B. Smith Gallery in Denver. Kyle was a 2004 recipient of a prestigious USC Annenberg/Getty Arts Journalism Fellowship, a program administered by the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. A native of Kansas City, Mo., he holds an M.S. from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York City.
